A flexible base for your next expedition

Planning an expedition in Cornwall requires a reliable, affordable and secure base. The Roseland Centre offers outdoor leaders, youth groups and expedition teams an exclusive-use residential base in St Just-in-Roseland, overlooking the Fal Estuary.

Following our recent refurbishment, we welcome groups who want to bring their own leaders, programmes and expertise, while benefiting from comfortable accommodation, flexible facilities and a beautiful location from which to explore Cornwall.

With accommodation for up to 34 people, including dedicated leader rooms, the Centre is ideally suited for youth groups, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, walking groups, clubs and outdoor organisations.

Why leaders choose the Roseland Centre

Exclusive use
Your group has sole use of the Centre, providing a secure environment with strong safeguarding arrangements.

Leader-friendly facilities
Dedicated leader accommodation, meeting spaces and a fully equipped kitchen give groups the flexibility to organise their stay in the way that works best for them.

Weather-ready accommodation
Cornwall’s weather can be unpredictable. Our indoor facilities and drying areas provide a comfortable base whatever conditions you encounter.

An ideal expedition base
Located on the Roseland Peninsula, the Centre provides easy access to the South West Coast Path, the Fal Estuary and a wide range of outdoor opportunities. Groups can bring their own equipment and instructors or work with our local activity partners.

Practical and accessible
The Centre offers secure entry, accessible facilities and on-site parking suitable for cars and minibuses.

Affordable by design

As a charity-owned outdoor centre, our aim is to keep the Roseland Centre accessible and affordable for groups. We operate on a cost-recovery basis, allowing us to provide excellent value while supporting the long-term future of the Centre.

Our exclusive-use residential accommodation offers excellent value for groups, with competitive self-catered rates and discounts available for block bookings and repeat visits.

By choosing the Roseland Centre, your group is not only accessing affordable accommodation but also helping sustain a community-owned facility that creates opportunities for future generations.

Bring your group. Create your adventure.

Whether you are planning a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, youth group residential, training weekend or outdoor adventure, the Roseland Centre provides a welcoming and flexible base from which your group can explore Cornwall.
